- You will get subsidy amount in your bank account within 30 days.

- Free electricity: In this scheme applicants will get upto 300 units free electricity every month and can save RS 15000 in a year.
- Earn money: Applicants can earn money by selling surplus electricity back to the grid.
- Government subsidy: Get subsidy upto 60% for solar unit costs and 40% subsidy for additional system costs. You can get RS 30000 subsidy for 1kw system, RS 60000 subsidy for 2kw system and RS 78000 subsidy for 3kw system. To install rooftop solar, government will give loan to the applicant.
- Reduced electricity cost: After successful implementation, government can save RS 75000 crore in a year for electricity costs.
- Increase of uses of renewable energy: The main aim of this scheme is to increase the use of renewable energy and reduce the effect of global warming.
- Reduced carbon emissions: After successful implementation of the scheme carbon emissions will reduce very much. As we know, tons of coal is used to produce thermal electricity.
