Indian prime minister Narendra Modi launched the PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2024 to give support to the artisans and craftspeople on 17th September, 2023.
What is PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2024?
Vishwakarma yojana is a scheme launched by Indian PM Shri Narendra Modi to give training support for skill development to the artisans and craftspeople associated with 18 traditional jobs like carpenter, Potter, blacksmith, Goldsmith, boat maker, tailor etc.

Benefits Of PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2024
Beneficiaries will be get following benefits in PM Vishwakarma Yojana 2024:-
- Artisans and craftspeople will get PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card.
- Basic training of 5-7 days and advanced training of 15 days will be arranged for artisans and craftspeople.
- They will get a stipend of ₹500 per day in the training period.
- They will get upto ₹15000 to purchase toolkits at the beginning of training.
- The Government of India will provide a loan of ₹3 lakhs to the artisans and craftspeople for business purposes.
- Government will be credited ₹1 for each digital transaction upto 100 transactions per month to the bank account of beneficiaries.
- Government will also provide marketing support to the artisans and craftspeople.
Eligibility Criteria for Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana 2024
- An artisans or craftspeople who are working with hands and tools and associated with traditional jobs like carpenter, Potter, blacksmith, Goldsmith, boat maker, Armourer, Hammer and Tool Kit Maker; Locksmith, Sculptor, Stone breaker, Cobbler, Mason, Basket/Mat/Broom Maker/Coir Weaver, Doll and Toy Maker, Barber, Garland maker, Washerman, Tailor, Fishing Net Maker, is eligible for Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana.
- The minimum age of beneficiaries should be 18 years or above.
- Who already got benefits of PMEGP, PM SVA NIDHI and Mudra scheme are not eligible for PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
- Only one family member is eligible for Vishwakarma Yojana.
- Government employees and his family members are not eligible for PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
